Volunteer Airport Ambassadors are the meeters, greeters, and ultimate information source for San Diego’s travelers. Visible in their blue shirts with an “Airport Information” insignia, more than 250 highly trained ambassadors provide free airport information and terminal wayfinding assistance.

Overview

Volunteer Ambassadors staff information centers in both baggage claim areas and international arrivals, they roam the terminals providing mobile information, and they drive a courtesy cart in Terminal 2 to assist passengers who may require mobility assistance. Airport Ambassadors have a number resources at their fingertips, including computers, phones, reference materials and more, all to assist the over 22 million passengers a year (that’s about 60,000 a day!) that visit us here at SAN. As a Volunteer Airport Ambassador you just never know what questions the day will bring or who you might meet!
